The three most popular way to cook hot dogs is in either a steamer, rotisserie or on a roller grill. A very popular item for schools, concession stands, snack bars, festivals and fairs. Roller grills use heating elements inside of each roller to heat and maintain the desired temperature. Rotisseries are enclosed with a rotisserie that holds the hot dog and passes under a fixed heating element. Steamers are totally enclosed and cook by using steam that is generated from a well under the holding area.

A hot dog steamer will also be the easiest to clean and operate. Steamers also offer all-in-one design which saves space by combing the buns and hot dogs into one common area. Cooking time is approximately 20 -30 minutes. A hot dog steamer will keep product the freshest - longest.
