COMMERCIAL FOOD SERVICE CHAR-BROILERS
Selecting the right char broiler for your foodservice operation involves many factors. We offer char broilers in both gas (Natural and LP) and electric. The char broilers are available in widths from 15" to 60" and grill depths of 20" or 25". Some models are available in both Lava Rock and Radiant designs. Gas models are the most popular of our char broiler offering but we understand that not everyone has access to a gas fuel source. If gas is not available to your operation, please note that electric Char-Broilers must be supplied from either a 208 volt or 240 volt power source. Lava RockandRadiant Char-Broilers are designed to distribute heat evenly throughout the cooking area and vaporize drippings. Lava Rock Char-Broilers will provide for a lower initial investment, but will require a little more maintenance to keep the Char-Broiler operating at its optimal level. Simply put, you'll need to replace the Lava Rocks when they become coated with burnt drippings. Generally, operators need to replace the lava rock every 6 months.
The Radiant Char-Broilers will require a higher initial investment, but will require little or no ongoing maintenance. Either way, both of these Char-Broilers will allow you to prepare delicious food with that authentic flame broiled taste.
HEAVY-DUTY GAS CHAR-BROILERS
Ultra-Max heavy-duty char broilers are designed to be the primary piece of cooking equipment in your operation. They are designed to be a high volume, back-of-the-kitchen unit. These char broilers give the operator flame control every 6’’ for maximum flexibility and offer a cooking surface depth of 25’’. Heavy-duty, high strength steel radiants provide even heat distribution and transfer more heat to the cooking surface than tradition cast iron radiants. These steel radiants will not crack or bend due to thermal shock.
MEDIUM-DUTY GAS CHAR-BROILERS
The Star-Max line of char broilers is designed for medium-duty foodservice applications. These units give the operator flame control every 12’’ and offer a cooking surface depth of 20’’. They are available with steel radiants or lava rock briquettes to provide even heat distribution.
OUTDOOR GAS CHAR-BROILERS
The Star-Max line of outdoor char-broilers are perfect for for high volume foodservice operations requiring equipment for their outdoor grilling.
